Taylor is taking full advantage of her ‘might be pregnant’ status 🫶🏻🐾

We find out in less than two weeks if there are babies in her tummy ☺️

A few months ago I was asked to write about my experiences with showing my puppy Gracie for Chinwag Magazine by @actrescueandfoster

I've been a nutrition writer for many years and so it was great to write about another passion of mine: border collies

Starting in the dog show world can be pretty intimidating and a steep learning curve but I've met some wonderful people and attended some lovely shows.

I'm enjoying building my dog training skills in this area and am now up to the 'finessing' phase (if that exists 😂) where I want to make sure I can present Gracie as well as I can!

So grateful for @_bnm_photography for these shots from our last show before we took a little break with Gracie being in season.

We love our new leash wrap from @byronandco - it's great for training in public places.

For our first try of it today, we found that people acknowledged us, then ignored us and kept on their way, which was exactly what I wanted. I didn't want them to avoid us, but just keep casually waking past, without giving us attention. Perfect 👌🏻

I have been practicing obedience with Taylor in different places and now that she's finished her season, I'll keep it up till it's time for her babies to arrive. She did some really nice loose lead walking in PetStock today after a sniffy mat sesh out the from of the store, which I find puts her in a good state of mind.

She always comes home from a session like this pretty pooped!

@byronandco have a bunch of other text options to choose from as well, depending on what helps you and your dog when you're out and about. Highly recommended.

What a week! 😅😮‍💨

Marshall gave the job of making puppies his absolute ALL these past few days and this afternoon it became clear that the window is now closing!

Phew! This dog breeding business is not for the faint hearted. I have had my eyes well and truly opened and have learnt so much!

We will now await confirmation of pregnancy via ultrasound on 21st May.

A big thank you to all the beautiful people who have fielded my questions this week and provided their support. Especially Dee from @kolorko.bordercollies - she's been so wonderful! I'm the world's greatest overthinker 😬 I pestered her all week and she always had time for me! I'm so grateful ☺️
